Everyday 1 in 3 adults are suffering with not getting enough sleep. Life stressors, overwork and anxieties of all sorts are causing people to live everyday in a state of heightened fight or flight. Many people are not getting the restorative rest that they deserve.

Recently, I had the opportunity to sit down with Health Coach and Longevity Biohacker, Natalia Naila in her beautiful studio in Hollywood, California to converse about how we can improve our sleep habits and of course how the amazing Sleep Crown pillow can be used to transform your sleep.

Natalia is a Certified Health and Life Coach and founder of the “Wellness Is Life” podcast. She has dedicated her life to searching out the latest biohacking technologies and passionately shares her love of healthy living with audiences all over the world. Julie and I first met Natalia in Boulder, Colorado at Boulder Wellness Week, hosted by Dragonfly Health. Natalia facilitated a panel interview of sleep experts, of which I was honored to be invited. It was a very informative panel and Natalia’s questions and insights sparked a vibrant conversation about how we can hack our sleep and regain the rest and the life we deserve. Natalia has been a long time customer of Sleep Crown, and we were so elated to finally meet each other in person. We immediately knew that we had to sit down and share the amazing Sleep Crown with her community and laugh a little while doing it. The interview was absolutely amazing and the energy was electric!

We framed our conversation around 4 essential habits for establishing a solid sleep routine, summarized in the acronym R.E.S.T.

R is for Reflection. Reflective practices of rehearsing daily gratitudes, journaling and practicing positive thinking helps reduce stress and certain anxieties.

E is for External Environment. Great sleep happens in a curated environment that is absent of disruptive light and sound. One that indulges the senses and feels like your own personal sanctuary.

S is for Smile. Ending your day with a smile is a master practice that includes rehearsal of gratitudes and indulgence of all the senses. During the podcast we specifically focused on the benefits of sex and how pleasure chemicals such as dopamine and oxytocin are designed to help you Relax, Surrender and Sleep.

T is for Timing. There’s much debate on how many hours a person should sleep nightly. Some experts suggest 6-8 hours. Natalia and I talk about how it’s the “intentionality” of establishing a sleep routine that makes the difference and not just “how long” you sleep.

Julie and I would really like to thank Natalia and her amazing staff at the “Wellness Is Life” podcast for an absolutely fabulous experience and conversation. We truly enjoyed a “red carpet” experience in Hollywood! Thank you Natalia!

Here’s to the most amazing sleep ever!

Ciao,

Christopher
